Voluntary Recall On Laptops Battery Due To Fire and Burn Hazard

Another PC notebook computer batteries voluntary recall! The US Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Hewlett-Packard, Toshiba and Dell, announced a voluntary recall on the batteries manufactured by Sony Energy Devices Corporation as these lithium-ion batteries can overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers. This battery model was used for some HP, Toshiba and Dell laptop models from 2004 – 2006. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warns consumer to stop using it as there have been 19 reports of the batteries overheating, including 17 reports of flames/fire (10 resulting in minor property damage). Two consumers experienced minor burns. To avoid any further damage to the consumers, consumers should contact their computer manufacturer to determine if their battery is included in the recall and to request a free replacement battery.

New Starter Pack For Xbox 360 At The Price of $100

Microsoft has announced a new Starter Pack for Xbox 360 at the price of $100. The Starter Pack included a 60GB hard drive, X360 headset, Ethernet cables and three-month Xbox Live Gold subscription. It expected available at retailer in this coming November.

Baidu Has Launched Youa.com As It New C2C Site

Baidu, the world’s leading Chinese search engine provider, has officially launched it new consumer-to-consumer (C2C) e-commerce and auction site which called as Youa.com. Youa will complete with the current C2C marketplace leader like Alibaba’s Taoboa.com, Paipai.com, Eachnet.com and etc. Alibaba recently announced that it will invest RMB5 billion (US$732 million) over the next five years to further gain the Taoboa marketplace. Currently, Taoboa has 80 million registered users and over 1 million sellers.

AT&T Offer Free Wi-Fi Access For iPhone Owner

The free service will be available at thousands of hotspots nationwide which the access points are installed and offered by AT&T including Starbucks, Airport, Hotels, Universities, Convention Centers, Sports Centers, Restaurants, Book Stores and Supermarkets.
