This phone is horrible...i love the idea of the phone and most of the options that is has available. But the technology isn't good at all. 2 months after purchasing the phone brand new it "kill over" i had to take it to the actual Pantech store, who yes fixed my phone at no cost...5 days later. I lost everything in the phone...so technically now i have a refurbished phone. The manufacturers warranty will only cover me to get another refurbished one. So basically i'm stuck with something that is constanyly freezing up on me, i try to delete me texts because it's full and it won't delete i have to turn my phone off and back on before i can get it to delete. It's been nothing but a hassle or disconnecting the battery and turnin it off then back on. I would not recommend this phone to anyone. I have a friend who upgraded hers to the slate and her screwed up within the first 30 days so she was able to return with no cost to her. But me...i'm now 9 months out with this phone and i'm stuck. If you are a heavy texter, internet user, or even a phone user this phone is not for you. It cannot handle the excessive useage.

[...] After our usual Sunday morning routine, we went to Sam’s for more diapers ($101 on diapers & wipes!) and then to AT&T to get a glitch worked out on my new phone. I’ve been using a Sony Ericsson phone that has audio bells & whistles that I never even learned to use but not having QWERTY keyboard, it was next to impossible to keep up with texting. So, we bit the bullet, re-upped with AT&T and picked up a free Pantech Slate. It’s not fancy by any means but considering that I don’t regularly access the ‘net on my phone, there really was no need to go for anything sexier – like the iPhone or the Samsung Eternity. All I do is use it to make calls & do the occasional texting. Here’s what it looks like at www.mydigitallifeinfo.com. [...]
