Didn’t worked for me, and since AVG9 it seems I have alot of problems, email scaner is also inactive…

Hello.
I just downloaded AVG Free v9, and I have the same problem.
But the different part is that the resident shield active check box is grayed out in both the basic layout and the Advanced Settings.
Please help quickly, as my comp is very vulnerable at this time.

I just downloaded AVG 9 and noticed that Resident Shield wasn’t active. After reading your answer, I did click on the Resident Shield Icon. It opened and said that was not active, however, under “Resident Shield Settings” was checked “Resident Shield Active”.

So, I unchecked the box disabiling Resident Shield, saved changes, closed the box and then repeated the steps again but this time checking the box and it worked. It is now both enabled and active!

The incoming search terms at the bottom are very misleading. They probably prop up the score for unrelated searched like the AVG Web Shield driver not found error, which is what I was looking for.
