This didn’t work for me – when I checked the box and then clicked OK, nothing was changed – when I opened up again the box was still not checked. Any further suggestions appreciated.

This solution is not permamnent. Must I use run as every time I want to use the add in? Can the change be made permamnent. I don’t want to run as an administrator, but as a normal user. The offending add in is microsoft math in word 2007/vista

Thank you! I was finally able to get rid of that message.

I’m having another problem: my BCM contacts look just like the simple Outlook contacts. Is there any way to fix that?

This solution doesn’t work so well when it is Outlook that is the offending program that generates this message. You can’t “run-as administrator,” as administrator does not have the user’s exchange email account tied to it?
