This is BS. i did not install any programs recently and this opendns got installed without my prior consent. this is called hacking my system, and intrusion of privacy. i will have you opendns people provide ways to remove your software over the internet or i will have someone earn money over your company by sueing you opendns BS ass

This does not work.

I do not have an OpenDNS Dashboard. Who the hell does?

Yes, you can turn this feature off from the dashboard. But

1. you have to sign up to opendns
2. if you have dynamic ip, you have to run a small program that updates your new ip, so that your network preferences work…

This is not so good. I feel like this should be opt-in, rather than opt-out (then it will make sense to have the program running in background).

Oh well, what can I say… annoying business models…!

If you configured opendns servers (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220) under tcpip dns properties for “local area connection” , then the tips doesn’t work for firefox.
You need to change the DNS server addr (or configure it to “obtain dns server address automatically”)

This worked for me, I didn’t go on from after the keyword.url and I used the “I’m feeling lucky” link.

actually, if you type more than one search string, it automatically uses google. only for single word strings does it redirect to yahoo search.

so try using “abcd .” instead of “abcd” or “abcd.” as the search string.

1> Incoming Search Terms for the Article : found at the end of the page and,
2> Machine Translation : in the side bar.

Or you can just turn it off in your OpenDNS Dashboard.
