Just read the manual. If you don’t have one google it. I’ve never read mine and I figured out how to put music on my phone and it never took me 3 hours.

here are the real steps needed to get your r-450 to conect to your p.c.
1.) the samsung pc-studio 3 software needs to be downloaded and installed first. It cannot be used however to talk to the phone, it is only needed to load the driver for windows to use other than that it is completely useless for r-450 users.
2.) after it’s finished installation and you’ve done all the updating of it, then close the software.
3.)now connect your phone using the power adapter port to usb cable that came with it
4.)it should now load the drivers for the phone. if it doesn’t automatically detect and load the drivers…
4.1)go to the device manager and right click the new unknown device and select update driver.
4.2)use the search for driver and point it to the samsung/samsung p.c. studio 3/USB Drivers folder. Make sure the scan sub folder option button is checked if on Vista or Windows 7. On XP you may need to click on the sub folders one after the other till it recognizes your cdma r-450 usb device.
4.3)If you are having to manually load your drivers you will probably need to repeat the steps when it finds new unknown devices. just follow the same steps as 4.2
5.)When your phone finally has it’s drivers loaded you will then be able to browse to any folder you have mp3’s stored in on your computer and simply drag and drop or copy / paste to the my ringtones or music folders on the phone.
6.) Beware that the phone screeen has to show usb connection message for the phone to show in windows, if it doesn’t show that message on the phones screen uplug the usb cable and hit the red hang up key till your on the phone’s main screen window and try again by plugging it in again.

u will need a memory card to connect to pc and save music and stuff. There is no other way arround. get a 4GB memory card. It is exact $19.33 in radio shake or pc richards after tax in new york. Someone above me said 4GM will fire ur phone and NOT 2 GB? are you out of your mind or you have no idea about bits and bites ? I would suggest not to load so much on the card. If you get 4 gb keep stuffs upto 3.5 and if you get a 2 gb then keep stuff upto 1.7 gb. No rocket science.
