Easy Way to Activate Windows Home Server (Crack and Bypass Activation)
Windows Home Server is a home-based server operating system from Microsoft, where interested user can request for a free evaluation kit with installation DVD with 120 days activation free grace period to be delivered to user’s doorstep. To continue using Windows Home Server beyond 120 days free evaluation trial period, user will require to purchase a legitimate license, or try the following hack to crack and bypass the Windows Home Server activation requirement.
- Click on Start button.
- Click on Run.
- Type regedit into the Run text box and press Enter.
- Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WPAEvents
- Note: From this step onward, the cracking process must be performed as quickly as possible, as it hacks activation stuff and Windows may change back the setting if there is a delay of more than few seconds.
Locate a string value named OOBETimer.
- Right-click on OOBETimer, and click on Modify.
- Change the value to FF D5 71 D6 8B 6A 8D 6F D5 33 93 FD.
- Click on OK.
- Right-click on WPAEvents and select Permissions….
- Click on Advanced button.
- Uncheck the check box for Inherit from parent the permission entries that apply to child objects. Include these with entries explicitly defined here.
- Click on Apply.
- When prompted, click COPY.
- From there, highlight the SYSTEM line, and click Edit.
- Choose the Deny option to ban all users from accessing and editing the key.
- Click on OK.
- Reboot the computer.
After the hack, Windows Home Server should run completely as a free copy, with users able to access Windows Update to get latest hotfixes and patches. The crack does not require BIOS mod.
To verify that the activation crack works after restarting the system, go to Start -> All Programs -> Activate Windows. The dialog should say Windows is already activated. Alternatively, go to Start -> Run and type oobe/msoobe /a.
Note: Some users reported that the method does not actually remove the activation grace period, even though it makes the system activated.

This method doesn’t work. Try the Antiwpa-V3.4.6 for X64 and X86.ZiP, which will disable activation.

So i tried this and PP1 kills it…. when i set my bios data a year in advance it locks me out of WHS, getting the activation loop.

Doesn’t work. The activation loop shows up in my case as well. All network functions (shares and websites) keep working though.
The only thing this ‘crack’ has achieved is that I have to install the server again….
Don’t bother with trying…..

Doug, I’m going through the exactly the same problem right now, no matter what method or crack I tried, I was stuck in a cycle. But for those who think that your data is gone after you “add” your hard drive to the server Console, dont worry, all data can be recovered. Right now I´m reinstalling the server, haven’t made up my mind if I´m going to use the regedit way.

Hey, this crack doesn’t. After 120 days, it saids I need to activate upon login. If i choose the option to go ahead with the activation, it saids that I am already activated. Thus, leaving me in a non-stop cycle. How can I fix this?

this is SHIT!!!!i did it then i went 2 the bios changd the date 2 2009 and i cdnd log on it requqers the activacion code..then i chenged the date 2 1980 aagain the saim..so i run the safe mode i and at the run i typd oobe/msoobe /a then it wanted the activacion code again i calld microsoft and they told me the activ. code..a friend of mine gave me the key bt its burnd now…

Actually, there is a 100% guaranteed method of getting the warnings to go away, have your system registered and all patches available.

This will only eliminates the activation warnings..if you look at the event viewer log, you will still see warnings regarding the activation as well as the end of evaluation version….I am guessing it really does not work under the hood.

i tested this and it donesnt work. all it is, is a way to stop the annoying please actavate windows from showing. i install WHS on my Vmware and set the date for 31 days and wasnt able to log in. so im still looking for a crack that will work after the power pack 1 is installed

This doesnt work… it still gives the warning about activation at end of evaluation period set by the Microsoft even though it has changed number days for evaluation in the system information.
