changing the 1 to a 2 didn’t work.
it still pops up with googlemail ending.

guess i’m going to have to wait until i leave the UK, on vaccation.

unless, someone else can send me a gmail invite, please?

I have an account in US with xyzabc@gmail.com and I have been receiving emails for another person in UK whose account is xyzabc@googlemail.com After reading the headlines, I figured out why I am getting emails for someone else.

I am one of the beta testers and registered for Google mail within few days of Google mail beta launch. I can not believe Google allowed this to happen. Anyone else has this type of experience?
PS: xyzabc@gmail.com is an example only NOT a real emailid

i’ve also noticed that if you get a friend to invite you to gmail (who has an @gmail.com account) then the email you get given is gmail.com also. i reside in the uk and i just sent an invite to myself to open a new gmail account and my new one is @gmail.com. i don’t know if it’s anything to do with me having had my own account since gmail began? anyway. just felt like throwing that out there. cheers.
