tor is NOT very slow. It is perfectly fine for pandora although if you need a stable connection and you want to watch video content you should really think about getting a vpn subscription. They are not cheap but will save you a lot of hassle and will give you a much better internet experience ( provided that you have a fast line to begin with ).

That’s helpful… but as an American living in Korea, I can’t help but wonder–when the illegal stuff (dl’ing shows from torrents) FAR outstrip the legal stuff like Hulu or shipping a DVD over from Amazon US… what do they expect us to do?

I think there goes the saying ..there is no free lunch in this world.
