Samsung Announces New Omnia i900 Smartphone
The South-Korean consumer electronics giant, Samsung has officially announced its new touchscreen smartphone - Samsung Omnia (SGH-i900), which designed to compete with new iPhone 3G, running on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS with Samsung’s TouchWiz interface, combining high performance business functions and dynamic multimedia features together with cutting edge design.

According to the company, “Navigation on the Samsung Omnia is a breeze with the inbuilt optical mouse modeled after navigation tools found on the laptop, ensuring ease of use and seamless compatibility for consumers when switching between devices. The Samsung Omnia’s high resolution touch-sensitive screen features the patented TouchWiz user interface with intuitive tap, sweep, drag and drop operations and an on-screen QWERTY keyboard, keeping data and text entry simple and uncomplicated. The Samsung Omnia also facilitates easy and convenient calling and texting with a dedicated dome key for controlling communications.”
The new Samsung Omnia i900 handset which encased in a stylish ultra-slim 12.5mm metallic chassis will available in 8GB and 16GB versions. No words on their price yet.
