DuoFertility to Track Fertility Period in Women

There are various reasons which cause female infertility such as Genital infection, Endocrine dysfunction, Sexual dysfunction, Dysmenorrhoea, Water brush, Temperature, Fevers, Vaginal discharge and Dyspareunia. As a result, many couples try very hard to have babies through various methods including artificial insemination, ovulation induction, infertility drugs, In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and so on. If infertility is not due to physical conditions or health, couples eager to have babies could try a new device and technology, DuoFertility, designed by a group of Cambridge University PhD students. This device uses the natural method of inducing conception by tracking the woman’s ripe or fertile period for getting pregnant.


The new DuoFertility device consists of a handheld reader and a small rubber stick-on patch which can go under your arm. Users can stick the patch to their skin to measure their basal body temperature accurately. Technically, the female’s temperature is higher during ovulation but the increase is very minimal and difficult to track. This wireless device will alert users on their temperature change and indicate to them the best time to try to conceive or to have sex. Users can read the temperature tracking results via its USB connection. There is no need to wake up early to keep track of the temperature or make several trips to the toilet to test one’s urine. It is hassle-free and may help to reduce tension or frustration during a trying time in the relationship.
