Excellent article. After chatting with some Fidelity folks, here is some additional information I learned...

There are 3 at least types of “transfer” options into your brokerage account (and pretty much into all financial institutions)
- Bank Wire or Bank or Wire or Bank/Wire transfers => typically between banks and is two-way (which means if you set it up, both sides can initiate deposit and withdrawals). ONLY USE THIS IF THE TWO ENTITIES ARE ABSOLUTELY TRUSTWORTHY
- EFT => typically between banks, financial institutions, individuals, intermediaries etc. This is also two-way
- Direct Deposit => typically from an organization to an individual and it is ONE-WAY only. This provides more protection if the orgnization is an intermediar who has the possiblity of being spoofed.

So, if you only want PayPal to be able to transfer money into your Brokerage account (and not allow PayPal to take money out), you want to make sure that you get/use the "Direct Deposit" information from your brokerage accoun NOT the Bank/Wire or EFT information.

I am not a lawyer nor a CPA or financial person, but this seems to make sense and so I thought I would add it to this article.
