I had no issues. This worked. However, not as well as I thought it would. Overall I’m really dissapointed in the MUI support from Microsoft. Oh well…..

Stop using auto translator, it really makes me cry, at least for spanish it is awesomely horrifying.
It is a lot easier even for people who understand sintactic differences between spanish and english to read english than this crappy translations.

I’ve been trying to swtich back to my french Vista Home Premium SP1 ( it was in English after a complete recovery ) with Vista MUI Tools but with no sucess. ( MUI french package was actually still there but I couldn’t find a way to activate it )
Then I came across this perfect freeware called Vistalizator ( http://www.froggie.sk/ ) and in 3 clicks and a reboot; I safely came back to a french environment.
You should give it a try if you want to use pre-installed or donwloaded MUI packages

It worked good for me but, after doing it i ncountered several problems. several features stopped working completely.. more exactly:

The “personalize” menu (Right click on desktop -> personalize)
The User accounts (can’t change anything)
Windows update (stopped working completely)

It might be other features as well, but these are the ones i have seen so far

If other have experienced the same, please let me know if it is this that caused it.. and if there is a way to undo what happened

thanks for this, got vista premium and business. My wife is from Taiwan and had XP on her old laptop,which could use as many languages as you liked. I was quite shocked when I tried to install a second Language and vista told me “max number of allowed languages already installed” How sad for MS to limit the so called improved OS. Anyway, despite my scepticism… this worked first time and will be a nice surprise for my wife tonight.

This isn’t clear. I can’t get it to work, I have Win Vista Home premium in english and wish to switch it to spanish. please would someone help, this topic is confusing with all those links and “updated”/misdirected info that only consufes. btw the best i could get was to use the EXE file and it kept saying that the limit of languages installed has been reached or something like that, but it wasnt following this instructions whatsoever. any help is appreciated. Thanks!
