Intel Unveils Ultra Low Power and Cost Diamondville Processor with High Performance

Nowadays the giant chip maker, Intel seems to be more interested to develop new silicon with ultra low power and cost for consumer market. Without further clocking its core frequency at higher rate, the move to 45-nanometer process technology has able to boost up its performance per watt suitable for home as well as car PC applications. Just recently, Diamondville has been added into Intel’s roadmap targeted for low power segment that fits well within 5 Watt thermal envelope.

Lippert Announces Menlow Prototype in CoreExpress Small Form Factor

Previously we talked about the famous Intel’s Silverthorne processor that is going to launch in 2008, now it seems that there are actual prototypes being developed by board vendors. You may have seen some MID (Mobile Internet Device) and UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC) that are based on this 45-nm ultra small form factor processor, but the recent release by the Germany based company, Lippert is believed to be the first CoreExpress module targeted for embedded market. The ultra small form factor module is best fitted for automotive, Interactive client and Panel PC applications.

Apple Announces iTunes Now No.2 Music Retailer In US

Apple has announced that iTunes digital media online store (www.itunes.com) is now the second-largest (No.2) U.S. music retailer in US, behind only Wal-Mart, based on the latest data from the Market Research company - NPD Group. According to Apple, more than 4 billion songs have been sold through iTunes music store so far, with an incredible 20 million songs sold on Christmas Day 2007 alone.

KB940510 Anti Grace Timer and OEM BIOS Vista Activation Crack Detector Released

As promised by Microsoft (although Microsoft supposed to include it in Vista SP1), the update to detect activation exploits that commonly used by hackers and pirates to bypass and crack activation in Windows Vista has been released via Windows Update as Important Update. The anti-crack update, KB940510, will install a detector or sniffer on Vista system to detect Grace Timer exploit and OEM BIOS activation crack and bypass method which allow users to use Vista indefinitely without license without product key and without payment to Microsoft.
