Hey guys. My tcpip.sys version isn’t listed here(6.0.6002.18091).
However, do you guys think it would help to upgrade my Vista to Windows 7 (really pissed at vista)? And do I need the same language(version) on Windows 7 as Vista for it to work?
Im grateful for any kind of answer. cheers!

Anyone able to get into Safe Mode after running the patch? if I select safe mode at boot and then disable verify driver signature it boots into normal mode. Problem is I deleted my original tcpip.sys i think and I have a virus… any ideas?

I believe with 32-bit Vista Business SP2 installed this guide no longer works. My tcpip.sys product version is 6.0.6002.18005
Furthermore, I navigated to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\] but “TcpNumConnections” is nowhere to be found. Services\Tcpip6 didn’t contain that registry entry either.

What happens when there is no version information on your TCPIP.sys file? My version information is blank.
March 15th, 2009 12:03
copy tcpip32-18063.sys %Systemroot%\system32\drivers\tcpip.sys /y
Access is denied.
0 file(s) copied.
Failes because of icacls %Systemroot%\System32\drivers\tcpip.sys /grant “%username%”:f . Have to use Users instead of username.
