Amazon MP3 Expands DRM-Free Music Audio Download Service Through A Partnership With Warner Music Group

Amazon and Warner Music Group have jointly announced that the customers of Amazon MP3 can now select more than 2.9 million (without Digital Rights Management) DRM-free songs. With the no-DRM music, users able to copy multiple times and play on most music devices and portable players. The collection including Warner Music Group’s (WMG) digital audio catalog music, and it makes Amazon MP3 seriously compete with Apple’s iTunes Music Store.

We have received thousands of emails from our customers since our September launch thanking us for offering the biggest selection of high-quality, MP3 audio downloads which play on virtually any music device they own today or will own in the future,” said Bill Carr, Vice President, Digital Music for Amazon.com. “With the addition of great Warner Music Group content, our customers will discover even more of the music they love on Amazon MP3.”
