Free Download of AVG Anti-Virus 7.5 Professional

AVG Free is the most popular free antivirus solution available at no cost to home users and provides the high level of detection capability that millions of users around the world trust to protect their computers. The AVG antivirus solution’s latest version is AVG 7.5. The new AVG 7.5 has improved performance and easy-to-use interface substantially compared to older versions. There are three categories of product under AVG solution: AVG Internet Security, AVG Anti-Virus Professional and AVG Anti-Virus Free.

The AVG Anti-Virus Free is always available free for users (Download AVG Antivirus 7.5 via the link here) whereas users need to pay for AVG Internet Security ($52.95) and AVG Anti-Virus Pro ($29.95).

The features and functions by these three products are various. For instance, AVG Anti-Virus Free can only allow users to schedule a single virus database update per day and carry out one computer scan a day. One good news for users is that the UK’s best selling computer magazine, Computeractive, is now offering users a free licensed copy of AVG Anti-Virus Pro. This offer given by Computeractive will last till 17 Jan 2008. Read the offer by Computeractive. The direct download link for setup installer avg7_503a1171_vnu.exe that encodes with license or software sales number is here (apparently the server may change user ID and password for the FTP every now and then). If the link doesn’t work, asks for password or rejects due to maximum number of simultaneous logins reached, try this download link to bypass the FTP server. We have tested this link and it works. Try it out before the link is removed or expires. If you have miss the dateline or unable to download from the busy server, check out the trick to use free serial number to install AVG Pro. Note that the free license will expire on Dec 1, 2008.

Update: The license number can be used on AVG 8.0 too.
