I am a licensed Private investigator and use this device weekly. It is a good unit, better than all other passive trackers I have used. Here are a few tips to assist new users...The magnet has been known to slide out of the rail and still be mounted on the car and no tracker! :( don't let this happen to you.
The screw recepticals are weak, and can easily crack. The gasket is flimsy also.
HERE'S the EASY FIX!--- buy a pelican 1010 case (About 10-14 bucks) Go to ACE hardware and buy a 65 lb magnet and hardware to mount it to the case with (About 5-9 dollars) Drill one hole in the case and bolt on your super tough magnet. Add a foam cutout inside the case to keep unit snug and safe. Remember to remove the pelican 1010 sticker as it is aluminum and will obstruct your signal. spray paint flat black, and there you go! A professional P.I.'s tracking box. It is well worth the investment, the pelican cases are stout and will not hurt signal strength. If you have any questions email me. txpi@mail.com I can send you a pic or sell you a box. - Mark www.txpi.vpweb.com
