tired of you you’re a f*cktard! try reading the step-by-step regedit instructions. So simple even a mindless moron like you could follow. Took me less than two minutes and the annoying search crap was gone.

Great, clean, and very effective .reg, thanks very much! Searching it through google (‘disabling instant search box ie7′), it appears on top of the list too!
I normally don’t use IE, but sometimes there’s no avoiding it, unfortunately.
And @ Vic: Yes, that happens when you’ve just installed or upgraded to ie7, very annoying indeed. It’s a one-time-thing though. Just click ‘no changes’ and the site will not re-appear.

I used this and it works but IE7 still seems to be looking for a Microsofts website on startup even though the homepage is set to an entirely different site.

I just can’t understand why anyone would take the time to write out several pages of detailed instructions, who’ve obviously never even tried them to see if they actually work.

Why would you waste your fucking time and everyone elses time? You can’t click the .reg file and import it to the registry.

Dude, you dont’ even mention WHAT OPERATING system you’re using, what are you doing giving advice on this?
