Hi there, nice info but overhere the trick wont work.
both update & module installer services are disabled but still it got 100% ‘TrustedInstaller’ cpu activity.
Also the vista client is out-of-the-box installed.
Mayb its a good idea to put `m in-to-the-box and forget vista.

What are you telling, “just relax” when it slows down your machine?? This is embarassing and nothing else but a shame that Microsoft is not gettin this done ordinarily. Poor software!! I don’t have time to wait “a few” minutes! It’s a shame that this company is still making so much money with their poor software.

I have had my system setup for manual updates for a long while, and didn’t have this issue (most likely cause I had it set to manual).

But over the last few days, I’ve had this happening to my system, even with Manual Updates.

What I have changed is I’ve sync’d my Windows Mobile phone with my system, which now causes TrustedInstaller to peg out a CPU core (only 1 core, the other core is free). Still though, it slows things down.
