When I go to the Control Panel for Uninstall a Program, I can
click on any program listed but the Uninstall button is never visible. Nor do
the Repair or Change buttons appear. I have reset all settings and customizations related to Folder Types and Views as mentioned in the post but the problem persists. Please help…

Thank you, this was really useful. I was driving myself knots with the way Vista organizes my folders.

By the way, I should consider to buy a Mac for next birthday. It is a lot easier and you don’t waste time with these nonsense issues.

why do you have to make the world so difficult. there is a 2 second solution to deleting folders and favorites. all of the above is pointless. just go to Organize, Layout View, and change setting.
