Next, Download and install Sony Picture Motion Browser Update. Charge the camera battery fully. Connect the camera to the USB port of the computer and turn on the camera. In My Computer, select the camera “disk”. Delete all files and folders that are not protected (all that can be directly deleted). Go to Start > Programs > Sony Picture Utility > Tools > PMB Portable Maintenance Tool. Put a check at “Initialize the media service settings” and click “Start”. When it finishes, click “Okay”. Click the Windows taskbar to unmount the camera as a USB drive. Turn off the camera. Wait until camera is fully off. Turn on the camera. Next, Download and install Sony Picture Motion Browser Update.

Charge the camera battery fully.

Connect the camera to the USB port of the computer and turn on the camera.

In My Computer, select the camera “disk”. Delete all files and folders that are not protected (all that can be directly deleted).

Go to Start > Programs > Sony Picture Utility > Tools > PMB Portable Maintenance Tool.

Put a check at “Initialize the media service settings” and click “Start”.

When it finishes, click “Okay”. Click the Windows taskbar to unmount the camera as a USB drive.

Turn off the camera. Wait until camera is fully off. Turn on the camera.

Wait for Sony Picture Utility to open automatically.
