Download Windows.Genuine.Advantage.Validation.v1.7.59.1.CRACKED-ETH0 WGA Cracks
For those whose Windows XP, 2003 and Vista system is installed and infested with the latest new version of Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool ActiveX control version 1.7.59.1, Team ETH0 has released the corresponding cracked version for LegitCheckControl.dll v1.7.59.1. As with previous versions of WGA crack hacked by Team ETHO, the crack is not a full workaround to bypass WGA. However, the cracked version will work 100% on Windows/Microsoft Update to allow users to apply any updates or download software from Microsoft Download Center.
As with WGA LegitCheckControl.dll v1.7.59.0, the installer script of the crack will remove WgaTray.exe and WgaLogon.dll from your system. Both DLL files are responsible for notification nag screen and message that appear on system tray if your system if found to be non-genuine. Thus, with the crack, you won’t see any embarrassing piracy notice anymore.

Microsoft has started to push out updated WgaTray.exe and WgaLogon.dll files, with the same LegitCheckControl.dll. This updated release re-includes above two files and includes a new version of installer with uninstall function, which can be used to restore the files like they was before applying the crack.
Installer Usage Guide
installer.bat /u - uninstall the crack
installer.bat /c - cleanup old cracked files
Running the installer as usual will remove old backup files, create new backup files and install new cracked files.

To apply the crack, simply extract the content and run the installer.bat script. There is also better and fully working ways to crack Windows.

The WgaPatch_v.1.7.18.7.zip is the latest version number in line with thw Microsoft site. I applied the patch on my catched winXP version and the WGA notification is gone. During manual updating with Windows update The KB905474 update is not offered anymore.
The previous ETHO 1.7.59.0 and 1.7.59.1 patches contained Older dll files which where notified by the latest KB905474 as outdated and where automaticly replaced during Windows update.

Up until December 2007, the latest version of wga was 1.7.59.1, and was dealt with by the eth0 patch of the same number.
In December, MS changed it with the result that OS patched with that patch could gain access to the WU site etc. but were being offered KB905474 again.
MS have assigned the number 1.7.18.7 to the latest update (which is a number used before).
Eth0 have called the patch which deals with this “1.7.59.1.UPDATED”. The link for that is in the text of the article on this page.
As I have said before - be wary of links in posts which point to patches for this. Many contain viruses.

Err just downloaded the 1.7.59.1.UPDATED and added it to a virgin SP2 install which had no WGA installed. It refuses to update on MS WU site so no new definitions for Defender. Is there ANOTHER version needed?

A virgin SP2 installation does not have wga on it at all, and the updated 1.7.59.1 patch does not put it on.
Consequently, when you go to WU, you will be prompted to install wga as well as to install the latest updating software and then the updates themselves.
If you want to complete the installation of a (fixed) wga on a virgin sp2 system before going to WU, you have to first run a previous patch which did also include the (fixed) wga installation itself. I use the eth0 1.5.540.0 fix. Once that is on, you then run the updated 1.7.59.0 patch.
When you then go to WU, you will get the necessary updating software and the updates, without being offered any wga components.
Some MD downloads (but not windows updates) have a separate WGA check in them, and this approach does not get you past that check. This applies, for example, to WMP11.

Well I downloaded and installed this crack on my system and I am still reminded to validate. Now i would like to uninstall and am unsure how to do so. Any pointers?
