Ahh. Thank you. All I needed to know was how to select a seperate file to restore from. Those sneaks at macintosh. Making you hold down shift without telling you. arg! they make me so mad! The Itouch 1.1.5 dosesnt allow u to jailbreak. like wtf? but I got downgraded back to 1.1.4 and feeling proud cause I can write apps again

I just bougth the phone I started by pressing Power (top or Sleep/Wake) and Home buttons for about 10 seconds until phone turns off (screen goes dark) to reboot iPhone. ok and then I relesed the power button and held down the home button and it whent black!!!! and now I can’t switch it on!!!!! WHAT!!!! NOT MY BEAUTIFULL iPhone!!!!

ok i followed the instructions and did everything, the iphone did everything it was supposed to, but after running the apptapp the second time and being told it was done and completed, nothing has happened to the iphone. it is still saying “no sim card installed” and stays on that screen.
what should i do?

I bought my iPhone and it had software 1.0.2 on it. I then upgraded to software 1.1.1 when it was released. Today I tried to downgrade to software 1.0.2 but after a good 40 tries I gave up because I kept getting the iPhone “iPhone” could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1). I did it in the black screen restore mode and the iTunes logo + cable restore mode and nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated ! Thank you.
