Add and Insert to Put Google AdSense Ads Units Between Blog Posts in Blogger.com

Looking at the My Digital Life homepage, you will likely notice and see a Google AdSense ad unit in medium rectangle ad format located in between first and second blog posts. Blogger.com, a popular blogging platform, now has the ability to allow Blogger users to add AdSense ads in between their posts using Show Ads Between Posts feature.

To put and show AdSense ads units between posts in Blogger template is very easy, in fact, users not even need to know any HTML code programming knowledge. Just follow step-by-step instructions at the below guide.

  1. Sign into Blogger account.
  2. At Blogger Dashboard, click on Settings link listed behind “Manage” for the blog that you want to enable to show AdSense ads between posts.
  3. Click on Template tab, and then click on Page Elements sub-tab if it hasn’t been already selected.

  4. On the lower right corner of “Blog Posts” widget, click on Edit link.

    Edit Blog Posts

  5. A “Configure Blog Posts” web page will be loaded, select and tick the check box for Show Ads Between Posts setting under “Select Items” section.
  6. Once “Show Ads Between Posts” option is selected, a “Configure Inline Ads” configuration options section will appear. Here, users can set how often the ads will appear, i.e. to show and display ads after every 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 posts up to maximum of 3 ads on a web page due to AdSense program policies. You can also choose your prefer ad format for AdSense for Content or Link Units (for ads between posts, rectangle or large rectangle is recommended), and customize the colors of background, border, text, title and URL.

    Hi ChampDog,
I hope I can help by mentioning that you cannot display more than 3 of the “Adsense for content” ads in the same page. Read up on “Adsense Policy” regarding that. If there are more than 3, then, the remaining Ads will simply not be displayed.

    Dear Admin,

In the old blogger template, I used to design a table at the bottom of each post (via my template) and insert a couple of Adsense into that table, like “Adsense for content” in one [td] column, “Referral links” in another [td] column etc, and yes, it looked smart and neat too. *GRIN*

Now with the new Template with all the fancy widget and Page elements, an old-skool HTML designer like me is left dumbstruck. I figured how to insert the Adsense like you mentioned, but is there anyway I can insert the table like I used to, which contain all those ads? Is there no way of adding a post-footer after each post, directly from the template? (like how its possible in the old template).

One way of doing it is ofcourse by adding that table directly into my post, but I was hoping to know how to do that from my template so that the table will be automatically added at the end of each post.

    Much thanx in advance,

    Kima.

Kima, Thanks for your help. I think I understand the Adsense displays up to 3 but the problem is it leaves the empty blank space. The detail is described here:

Has anyone of you has this kind or problems?

Anyway, the widget to “Show Ads Between Posts” doesn’t seem working for me. After I enable it, it somehow doesn’t work. Therefore, I”m still manually change the code template to insert the Adsense between the post. Any of you has a similar problem?

I know about the empty spaces! Pretty irritating if you ask me :)

My blog is more “article based”, hence each post is around 1500 to 2000 words with just an update once or twice a week, so I have set my main page to display just ONE blog post per page. I don’t do memes or tags etc, and write full fledged articles for a post, therefore I get no problem about exceeding the “3 ads display per page” problem :)

For people who display 5-7 posts in one page, it is indeed a problem. I guess it is pretty much like the old saying “If you keep on getting stuck in the traffic-jam, then make your own road where there will be no jams”. Ok I made that up, but it seems to be working for me *GRIN*

Kimi, I thought in the whole world I”m the onlyl one who experience it. Because it seems like I”m searching around there is no solution for that and it seems like no one is complaining. I forced my blog limit to 2 posts in the main page because of this problem. In case you got the solution one day, just let me know. Thanks in advance. :)

Thanks so much for your post. Very clear explanation. I clicked the Edit link of the “Blog Posts” widget, but I couldn’t find the item of “Show Ads Between Posts” to choose. Is it broken? Or something wrong with my blog? What and how can I do then?

Thanks for any help in advance.

    Hi.

On my blog http://www.empregos-aveiro.com, i´m unable to show ads between posts the normal way, because this item simply wont appear in the “Configure Blog Posts” window.
I added the code manually, but i want to have this adsense only once every 2 posts, instead of every post. Can you help me?
