BOOTMGR Is Missing During Vista Boot Error
When you start boot up Vista system, and encounter the following error message, you have probably messed up the important system files and landed in great trouble:
BOOTMGR is missing. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart.
The error happens when you delete, accidentally or intentionally vital Vista system files, or the files become corrupted or been destroyed by virus or malware, may be also by improper install of Vista activation crack such as Paradox OEM BIOS emulator or Vista Loader. In whichever case, you no longer able to access to Vista desktop environment.
To fix the BOOTMGR is missing error, for those who do not want to reinstall Windows Vista, a lot of them is actually using Vista DVD media to boot up the computer every time. Here is the permanent solution to solve BOOTMGR is missing error by repairing or restoring BOOTMGR file. Simply follow steps outlined in guide below.
- Insert Windows Vista DVD media into DVD-ROM drive, and boot up your computer using CD-ROM drive. If your computer doesn’t boot up or at least prompt you to ask whether to boot up with CD-ROM drive, you need to change the boot up sequence setting in your BIOS.
- At the “Install Windows” window, select your preferred language, time and currency format and keyboard or input method, and then click on “Next” button.
- On the next screen, click on the “Repair your computer” link on the bottom left corner.
- Choose which Windows installation that you want to repair, in case you have many copies of Windows partition. In the case you have only one installation, the choice is obvious.
- In the “System Recovery Options” window, click on “Startup Repair” to automatically fix problems that are preventing Windows from starting, including missing BOOTMGR.
- The recovery process should be pretty fast completed. Then take out your DVD, and try to boot up your computer using hard disk to check if the BOOTMGR is missing problem is solved.
If you still facing problem, try the second option - “System Restore” instead, which should be able to recover and replace back original good BOOTMGR if the restore point is created before BOOTMGR is missing.

I tried it it says no errors.

when i tried to fix it i get an error message if you have added a camera, removable music player or other device please remove it and restart the computer and try again. i get this error every time even when only mouse and keyboard are installed.

Unfortunately, I can not see the window with language selection. Everything I could see was black screen with “Windows loading files…” message and when the progress done, I see black blank screen and nothing more… notebook is not responding. What can I do?

Hi, please i have a problem of an installation path. It loads to an extent that asks to specify installation path. An installation path doesn’t show or reflect, it comes in blank. I tried loading drivers and i am not getting the particaular path to the driver. Please help with a direction to recover my system. Thanks

Corregir problema del “bootmgr en Windows Vista
Para Corregir su problema con bootmgr en Windows Vista … es algo tan facil solo sigan los siguientes pasos.
1. Bootea con el cd de instalacion del Windows Vista.
2. Selecciona “Reparar tu computadora”
3. En la Opcion “Menu de Recuperacion de Sistema”, selecciona ir a Raiz “Prompt”
4. Ya estando en prompt, Teclea “bootrec /fixboot” ENTER (esperas un rato a que repare el sector de inicio de la maquina)
5. Das Click con el mouse en Salir, despues resetea el Sistema y tu problema estara resuelto…. SUERTE

this fix is crap try a drive format from XP disc Boot from cd And go to recovery (press R)
Type map to see your drives pick ur windows drive and type format C: if c:is ur windows or q: if that is windows for you.
