Yes it does, “it leaves a hell lot of crap in the registry, Program files, Temp folder, My Documents etc.” That’s also my experience with OEM machines, I always end up cleaning the registry manually. Symantec is well aware of that, in my last report they told me to unhide everything and search for “Symantec” and “Norton” and delete folders/keys. Why don’t they fix it once and for all ?

What do I have to do to uninstall Norton Removal Tool? I instaled it to remove Norton Uninstall Deluxe and I did’n get to uninstall Norton Uninstall and now I don1t know how disappear with both of my Pc. Please, help me!!!!

But it sucks! Slowing down my machine 500%!

The tool does what it says to the please the average eye, but it leaves a hell lot of crap in the registry, Program files, Temp folder, My Documents etc. to name a few. Some of it that wont budge even with the best of registry cleaners.

Use the tool, remove the remnant folders from various location and use jv16 or some other registry cleaner. A manual cleanup might still be required for the very “particular” types!
