The 1SEG adapter works great here in Japan (Obviously). Allows me to keep up on Sumo if I'm out and about, or see replays on the TV if I'm at a sports event. I'm not sure where else in the world it works though. Anyways it will allow me to record whichever program is tuned, onto the memory stick. I've got a 4GB stick that's pretty full and it will still record hours of TV. It will also allow you to adjust the audio in case there is a secondary language feed. All functions/settings are in Japanese, but if you have half-a-clue you can figure it out. Yes, the Game Gear did have an analog tuner.
