Didn’t the game gear have a TV tuner?

Yes, the Game Gear did have an analog tuner.
The 1SEG adapter works great here in Japan (Obviously). Allows me to keep up on Sumo if I’m out and about, or see replays on the TV if I’m at a sports event. I’m not sure where else in the world it works though. Anyways it will allow me to record whichever program is tuned, onto the memory stick. I’ve got a 4GB stick that’s pretty full and it will still record hours of TV.
It will also allow you to adjust the audio in case there is a secondary language feed. All functions/settings are in Japanese, but if you have half-a-clue you can figure it out.
