TiVo and Amazon Subscribers to Download Movies or Shows Directly to TV Sets
TiVo Inc now allows its customers to order pay-per-view movies and television shows from Amazon.com download service directly from their televisions without going through their computers.
TiVo has collaborated with Amazon to introduce the order-pay-per-view movies and TV shows early this year. However, the earlier service requires users to select the movies or shows on a connected PC. With the upgrading of the “Amazon Unbox on TiVo” service, users or subscribers with high-speed internet connections can select their favourite movies, shows or video via the TiVo remote control. There are about 10,000 movies to be downloaded. The average charge for a movie is about $4 and TV show is about $2.
