Sony’s Upcoming Release of New Firmware Upgrade Version 1.82 for PS3
Sony Computer Entertainment announced the upcoming release of its new firmware upgrade version 1.82 for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) console. This update version 1.82 adds support for AVC H 264/MPEG-4 High Profile playback. It allows PS3 to play AVC High Profile files. I think you can download it from Playstation 3 via http://www.us.playstation.com/ps3/network/updates?ILC-PS3_1304&LINK=PS3SU

So how does one get the H264 file into the PS3
Only via download from Sony Online to built-in hard drive?
Or can the H264 file reside on a home network and be played from there?
Or can it be burnt to DVD+/-RW and played? (most movies in full H264 HD will be greater than 1 DVD)
Thanks
