Motorola Razr2 Cellphone Landed in South Korea

razr2-v8-01.jpg After the launching of the next-generation model of its most popular and ultra-slim Razr mobile phone in May, Motorola began officially selling its Razr2 phone in South Korea last Friday. Razr 2 enthusiasts can get one in South Korea now before its official global launch scheduled in July!

Why is South Korea chosen to get the first crack at the phone? The world’s second largest handset maker by sales explained that Korean consumers are more “tech-savvy” and “fashion-aware”. This new phone is retailed at about 580,000 Korean won or $630.

If you own Windows Vista Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate edition, you may notice there is a Previous Versions tab for each files and folders. Previous Versions is a new system protection feature added to Windows Vista operating system. Previous Versions is based on Volume Shadow Copy service (also known as Volume Snapshot Service or VSS) which allows Windows to take manual or automatic backup copies or snapshots of files and folders on a specific volumes or drivers at any point of time.

QUALCOMM introduced AmberWatch Mobile Service

QUALCOMM, a leader in advanced wireless technology introduced a new technology service that can turn the mobile device into emergency tool during the recent BREW 2007 conference held in San Diego. The service, known as AmberWatch Mobile provides GPS tracking capabilities to keep all its wireless device’s users from any threat or harm.

The applications is developed by WaveMarket, a leader in LBS (Location Based Solution) and with the collaboration from AmberWatch Foundation, which is a charity center that aims to protect child under the risk of abduction.

Mr. Wizard R.I.P.

Don Herbert, who explained the wonderful world of science to millions children on his Nickelodeon cable TV show “Mr. Wizard’s World”, has died after a long battle with multiple myeloma. He was 89.

Herbert used basic experiments to teach scientific principles to his TV audience via an in-studio guest boy or girl who assisted in the experiments. Herbert liked to perform his scientific experiments as “tricks” to get the kids hooked, then explain the science behind it later.
