Symantec Releases Beta of Its Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0
Symantec lately released a beta of its latest security product, Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 beta version. Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 is a replacement of its previous enterprise version, Symantec AntiVirus.
This new antivirus protection software is the culmination of a Symantec buying spree that included acquisitions of Sygate, Whole Security and Veritas. It bundles antivirus, anti-spyware, firewall, network and host intrusion prevention systems, application and device control, and rootkit detection into a single agent. Symantec has assured users that the charge for this new product is reasonable and relatively cheap.
Symantec Endpoint Protection provides a comprehensive protection system to PC, server and laptop users. Besides featuring the normal security features such as antivirus or antispyware, this new suite from Symantec also enables central control of the application and allows administrators to control the programs run by users on their machines.
Symantec also introduced its Symantec Network Access Control 11.0, an optional module that can be incorporated into Endpoint Protection. This software allows users to securely control access to their networks, enforce endpoint security policy and integrate with all existing network infrastructure. For instance, the feature determines whether or not to allow a mobile device to connect to the network depending on if it is a security risk, such as if the device doesn’t have up-to-date patches.
The public beta version is now available in the market. The final version will only be released around September. You can read more from Symantec.

i have installed norotn 360 version 2 on my pc after installing this sysmantec endpoint protection 11 it adds extar security to my pc and it does not slow down nothing and it does no seem to give a warning of any conflications of running norton 360 and endpoint protection!!!
