Sony DAV-IS10 Micro Home Theater System

Japan consumer electronics giant, Sony has introduced the new DAV-IS10 micro home theater system recently. The 5.1 channel home-theater-in-a-box system features five small and stylish speakers. Although each speaker is just about the size of an orange but they puts out a total of 450 watts (satellite speakers 50W x 5, plus 2-way subwoofer 100W x 2), not bad for micro home system, right? This home theater system features Sony’s new BRAVIA Theatre Sync technology, which utilizes the HDMI (high definition multimedia interface) to communicate with select Sony BRAVIA TV.

Besides, the company also includes Sony’s Digital Cinema Auto Calibration (DCAC) high-tech technology into this system, which provide the convenient to simplify multi-channel surround sound setup for achievement of balanced home theater experience with the use of an microphone that comes with a package. This sound system also be able to upscale DVDs to near-HD quality.

“Today, consumers want home theater products that are unobtrusive and easily integrate into the home’s decor,” said Jeff Goldstein, vice president of Sony Electronics consumer audio group. “The IS10 delivers superb surround sound in a form factor that is so small that it is basically a non-factor for people who are conscious of space.”

The Sony DAV-IS10 micro home theater system which match with DVD player will be available in coming July for about $800 at Sony Style stores and authorized dealers worldwide.
