Don’t Fall for eBay Scams
Have you ever bought or sold something through the Internet? There’s no marketplace like eBay - the world is literally at your fingertip. You can cut great deals in eBay though it is also a haven for the conman and criminal. There are some precautions you can take to prevent yourself from becoming a victim of scams in Internet trading.
You can ensure that bidders pay up by using PayPal. Necessitate all buyers to have an address that is confirmed by PayPal. If the buyer’s address has not been confirmed and the buyer is later found to be involved in fraud, you will have no guarantee of getting your money for the item shipped out.
If you have been buying lots of incredibly low-priced items from a seller but is suddenly tempted by an item that is quite expensive, BEWARE! It’s a common ploy to bait buyers with cheap items before swindling them of their money with one expensive item. The seller may not actually possess the item advertised.
Never ship out an item to a bidder or purchaser without first receiving and cashing the money order. Let your buyer know that this is the condition of your trade. If a check is sent and deposited, wait a few days to be sure that there are no problems with the fund before shipping out the item. You can never be too careful.
If an offer is too good to be true, don’t let greed cloud your judgment. The Internet is like any other trading ground. You’ve got to be alert and careful before parting with your ware or hard-earned cash.

just a note… only USA buyers can have a confirmed address, so internacional buyers have allways an unconfirmed address.
