This worked great until I had to restart my computer. When I tried to use Word after the restart all of my documents are locked. I get this message at the bottom of the screen when I try to edit the document

“the modification is not allowed because the selection is locked”

Any idea how to fix this. I am running Vista.

Under the folder 12.0 I did not have a folder called “registratio”. I just have “MSOexample” and “User Settings”, what do I do?! D:

It worked for two days, then all Office programs were essentially disabled (no editing/saving allowed).

My advice to anyone considering this hack: don’t waste your time. If you really want Office, just do a Google search for “office 2007 enterprise torrent” and download a torrent. You’ll need a torrent client such as uTorrent.

In Vista, totally works!

Once you open the file in your browser, right click on Proof. Scroll down to properties. Then go to security. Click on USERS then click EDIT. Once you’ve done that, give yourself permission to everything. It okay.

Then open that link in notepad, change the part talked about in the article and… ‘poof!’ totally works!
