Suddenly it would not be recognised anymore by any system. Help-Line stated, Richt click "My Computer" > Manage > Disks > Disk-Partitions would show the disk. As i prognosed, such was not the case. (Otherwise even a not reconised USB-Webcam could be partitioned.) Have the same problem as you, but my disk only not working anymore (now "unknown device").
