What Microsoft and HP (and others) are doing has got to be criminal. If not, then it SHOULD be criminal. Why do I buy a RETAIL PC at a RETAIL store, only to get one of these bullshit OEM licenses which is USELESS if I want to re-install CLEAN my OWN PC that I paid damn good money for?
Why the hell should I have to purchase ANOTHER license? A so-called “retail” license that SHOULD HAVE been sold to me in the first place. Holy shit are we going THAT backwards these days, or what?

Vista disk has multiple versions; Yes, I read an article out here on the web that there was a special booting sequence of all VISTA disk which allowed you to INstall and tryout different Tastes of Vista. I gather from all this, that the Vista disk must be then, a form of XISO of some sort.

I have seen this on an OEM XP disk image, for one of the named that you have on here. The Unattend file on the image has a different key that works also, thus two Valid keys result.
However, I found two Unattend files, which was wierd, but the one key I found on one disk was the same key I found another OEM disk on the extra unattend, and the mutual keys on two different disks didn’t work.. Regardless, do a search on your oem RESTORE disk for two Unattend files, and you may find two different keys, not including one you have pasted on your case. And if this is the case, each Unattend file will have a different ProdKEY which one should work.. I suspect the key found on the image.gho, is the Volume key they use at the factory…

Vista Service pack one has covered all these patches. The only thing you can do now is go buy a legit copy and be done with it. Trust me I have tried the best activation hacks (Paradox OEM activation included)and they do not work with SP1.
