Canon PowerShot S5 IS
Canon has introduced the all-new Canon Powershot S5 IS zoom digital camera which to replace S3 IS recently. The Canon PowerShot S5 IS features an 8 Megapixels CCD, 2.5 inch high-resolution vari-angle LCD, 12x optical zoom with an equivalent 36-432mm lens and high ISO sensitivity range (up to ISO1600). The new compact digital camera inherits optical Image Stabilizer (IS) technology, professional-grade optics and extensive movie functions while introducing a host of new features designed to increase the photographer’s success rate. This latest Canon PowerShot also has a flash hot-shoe and support for SDCH/SD and MMC memory cards.

The latest Canon PowerShot digital camera is powered by DIGIC III image processor with advanced Noise Reduction technology and Face Detection for improves focus, exposure, flash output for people shots and built-in red-eye correction. In addition, this Canon S5 IS’s MovieSnap feature can lets you take a full-resolution (8 MP) still frame while you’re in the middle of capturing a movie.

The Canon PowerShot S5 IS has a total of 22 shooting modes including full manual control and 0cm Super Macro mode. This Canon S5 IS is available in coming July for $499.

You can always go to photography forums to ask about things and learn new stuff from other more experienced shutterbugs who will be all too willing to help.

My daughter just purchased a Canon PowerShot S5 IS. Are there useful after market user guides out there that can really help her learn how to best utilize the cameras numerous features? The guides that came with the camera are not all that good unless you are allready very knowledgeable. Please help. Thanks.
