Guys, just before MS MONEY asks to enter the live login and password it asks you to accept or deny their live agreement. JUST HIT DENY and then tutorial will proceed to creating local password and after that, you'll be able to use your MS Money offline.

7To give full control go through Computer C: drive Program Files (x86) then find the Microsoft Money 2007 folder and right click on it, click Properties. Then find the Security tab. Click on Edit, then select ‘Users (comp-name\Users), check the checkbox for ‘Full Control’ and hit Ok.

I was then able to log in.

I had the same issue... internet connection to login to ms money 2007. The problem turns out that I forgot my system clock has been off recently (bad bios battery). Anyhow, resetting the clock to the correct date/time corrected everything. MS Money appears to utilize the system clock for some purpose to login to live id.

To give full control go through Computer C: drive Program Files (x86) then find the Microsoft Money 2007 folder and right click on it, click Properties. Then find the Security tab. Click on Edit, then select 'Users (comp-name\Users), check the checkbox for 'Full Control' and hit Ok.

I was then able to log in.

it totally worked- after two and a half hours of trying, I finally found the tip that got it all worked out!
But what a pain- Windows Vista still has many kinks to work out!
Thanks again-

Hello- thanks for this article- I went thru all the same steps- and ended up with the same result- after much troubleshooting, I was able to restore my money 2007, but I also must view it by signing in "offline". The problem I have is that when I click on tools, then internet updates, and then sign in using my Windows Live ID, the money program says, "You muse be connection to the internet to sign in online"- but I am- with a high speed cable connection on which i can check e-mail, browse on this site etc. So can anyone tell me why my money program suddenly doesn't recognize my internet connection- I've dont troubleshooting on this including turning off firewalls etc, and nothing helps..
Thanks
