The SanDisk V-Mate Video Memory Card Reader is a digital recorder that uses Flash memory cards to store video recorded from an analog source directly. If you are an avid TV viewer, and never want to miss your favourite TV programs, perhaps SanDisk V-Mate is your good helper that can help you to record them when you are not around. You can then play back the recorded video content by simply inserting your flash memory card into your compatible mobile devices such as PDA, video music player, personal media player, PC or notebook.
Users can choose to record in one of four video formats – MPEG4 (ISO), MPEG4 (Sony PSP), 3gp and 3gp2 – depending on which device users prefer. Besides Secure Digital (SD) and Multimedia Card (MMC) formats, the SanDisk V-Mate supports a wide variety of other formats including SD High Capacity, miniSD, microSD, reduce-MMC and Memory Stick Pro Duo.
Priced at $129.99, SanDisk V-mate has to be operated via an infrared remote control as there are no menu buttons available on the device itself. SanDisk V-Mate also comes with an infrared emitter which can be used on a source device such as a TV.
