We use vista on our macs for testing, but our entire 3d/hd video lab runs fine… 64 bit and supports just about every raw format (nef included) even in preview. I am very frustrated by not being able to see thumbnails of my D300 NEFs while I explore in Vista on this most powerful HP6700 notebook I just got.
