Symantec Norton 360: Your Comprehensive Security Solution

logo1.gifSymantec recently unveiled the launching of its comprehensive security solution, Norton 360, which provides all-in-one protection including antivirus, anti-spyware, antiphishing, firewall, back-up and system tuning tools.

Norton 360 is designed for mainstream computers users. It is easy to use and requires only minimal user intervention. The licensing policy is also quite lenient to family’s users. Families with multiple computers in their home are allowed to install the Norton 360 in up to three different computers with one license.

This security solution comes with useful features such as a smart firewall, rookit removal and network detection, which automatically optimize firewall protection when connecting to different networks. For online transaction security, Norton 360’s antiphishing protection feature is able to identify both known and unknown phishing sites. Its other top features include the following:

- Removes viruses from email and instant messages
- Blocks Internet worms at point of entry
- Stops spyware from tracking you online
- Authenticates popular shopping and banking Web sites
- Protects you from phishing sites designed to steal your confidential information
- Discovers new files and backs up that data automatically
- Automatically back up important files to a secure online service
- Local backup to CD, DVD or external drive
- Automatically removes unwanted Internet clutter and temporary files that can slow down your PC’s performance

Priced at US$69.99, Norton 360 users can also get “Norton AntiSpam” and “Parental Controls” via its optional add-on pack at no additional cost. Enjoy the free tour of Norton 360 features from Symantec.

I was using Norton 360 1.0 on my Windows XP….
It was slowing down my PC 500%!!
Then I changed it to Eset Smart Security…

Well with vista having windows defender, all you realy need is a virus scanner, i know it’s not perfect, but it’s better than nothing.

call me old school, but all this AIO security software makes the product horrible. I used McAfee since v3 all they way to the 2007 and then gave up on them because you were forced to install everything.

I prefer standalone vscanners, always have and always will ;)
