Please also note that Sony’s SLIC table contains 00’s instead of 20’s in OEM name part!

Andrew, yes. Actual HEX code is:

44 45 4C 4C 20 20
4D 30 37 20 20 20 20 00

So you can treat it as 4 spaces and 1 blank after M07.

Is the Dell OEM ID correct? Counting it out, that’s 13 instead of 14 characters…? I am assuming that an additional space (20 in HEX) is required

Second, I’ve extracted the SLIC.bin file from the VSTADLR.img file using WinImage (from the softmod-l.iso in the DATA directory) and loaded it up in WinHEX, and noted that there are two places where “_ASUS_Notebook” is located. I am assuming that if these are simply replaced with any of these other OEM IDs, we can use any of the other OEM digital certificates and serial numbers.

Any comments?

DELL = “DELL M07 ” (two space after DELL, 4 space after M07 (20 in 16-bit HEX code, not 00 which is blank))
