Crack for Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications (KB905474) 1.7.17.0
Microsoft has released an update to the notorious and controversial Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) Notifications to version 1.7.17.0 (or 1.7.0017.0) on 16th February 2007 (been further updated to version 1.7.0018.1 (v1.7.18.1) on 1st March 2007). The major change is the new category tag or piracy flag called “Yellow State” or “Indeterminate”, which used to describe a copy of Windows XP system that “maybe pirate”, or unable to perform accurate status check due to network or system failure or due to cause which is not a fault on user’s side. In this state, a window pops up with message “unable to complete genuine Windows validation”, and user is directed to online resources to troubleshoot the problem but is not necessarily pegged as a pirate, and thus will not be limited in ability to download additional free software from Microsoft. No matter what, if you still haven’t make your Windows XP genuine, Team ETH0 has faithfully provides a crack to disable the nag message and pop up warning message plus bypass validation check.
Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications (KB905474) is released by Windows Update and Automatic Updates as critical update. Depending on the suspected genuine state of Windows XP, you may have just one or two or all files upgraded to v1.7.17.0 (LegitCheckControl.dll, WgLogon.dll and WgaTray.exe). If you haven’t download the hotfix, and haven’t been automatically applied with the WGA update, you can skip the download and installation of the new KB905474 v1.7.0017.0. well i am the victim of software counterfeiting i had unknowingly updated a window genuine advantage notification KB905474 and i think its not a genuine update and i connot get it out of my computer, it is displayed on my destop right hand corner.if u have a crack for tis it will be appreciated. thanks

I have never had an issue with this, this thing contacts the same thing every time, and has no issue if you are using a “borrowed” copy of XP pro. IM running service pack 3, have done so for plenty of people and set up programs to handle this, never needed a patch, just come config changes.

In response to what Napster asks, if you want Windows to be indistiguishable from a genuine version, then you have to buy a genuine version.
If you adopt the registry hack method, then you should not have much trouble at the moment – except that this does not get you through the OGA check at office updates.
If you use the hacks for wga validation and notification, to get you in the WU site, then that does not bypass the checks built into wmp11, ie7 etc and you have to deal with those individually using the fixes mentioned elsewhere on this site.
Incidentally, the latest patches for 1.7.17.0 etc, only deal with wga notifications. If you install a pirated xp now, you need to run an older fix like the 1.5.540.0 one first, then the latest one – before you go to the WU site.
Incidentally, does anyone have a fix for OGA yet?

Oh yeah, and some where along the way it was telling me that my product key was bad and i was also getting a Cryptographic Errors Detected from the MS validation dialog. thats what all the regsvr32 stuff was about. anyway i never changed my key or anything and all is working fine after i did the stuff described in my post before this. Thanks.

Hi guys,
Thanks for this great site, it has saved me more than once. This concerns one of my machines running xp home. after the 1.7.17.0 update the home went into the dreaded activation loop. it was running fine with the ‘windows xp sp2 pro & home activation crack’ that you can find on a torrent. i had also put the loopback host in the hosts file as described on this site. I am sure not all of what i did is necessary but i thought i’d post it in hopes that it will help someone save some time. In an order that i can’t remember and all from safe mode, i used the newest crack from eth0, ‘antiwpa.zip’ (torrent), and i also ran a regsvr32 softpub.dll, wintrust.dll initpki.dll dssenh.dll rsaenh.dll gpkcsp.dll sccbase.dll slbcsp.dll mssip32.dll cryptdlg.dll licdll.dll and regwizc.dll
I do know that antiwpa was the final thing i ran that fixed it but it was also the very first thing i ran and at that point it did not fix it. thanks again.

How can i patch the very intaller of WindowsXP (after making ISO etc) so when i install Autopatcher even with WGA updates included i dont get IE7, WMP11 etc failed.
Is using V2C47-MK7JD-3R89F-D2KXW-VPK3J serial for installing XP the only solution.
Many people will be needing the Autpather but without powertoys added ausing annoyances specially the rightclick on windows’ thumb in taskbar showing priority, transparency crap and above all grouped right where min/max entries are suposed as standard.
Are poeple maintaining custom setups on torrent/emule so rather we keep revolving around Autopather we get a custom XP installer with everthing “minus” powertoys.

This is not a real v1.7.17.0 crack,
it is only v1.5.0716 crack with modified header to show version 1.7.17.0.
But it works.
