Windows Vista Brute Force Product Key Keygen for Activation

A hacker Windows Vista programming enthusiast named “Computer User” has successfully “stumbled upon” a trick or workaround that uses brute force attack method to try to generate a valid and legit Windows Vista product key. The Windows Vista brute force “keygen” is actually a VBScript that tries one product key to another product key until it manages to generate and find a legitimate and accepted Windows Vista key for the edition that has been installed. Since then, another hacker Snooza has since integrated the brute force Vista keygen (key generator) into slmgr.vbs VBScript to make the whole process to illegally crack and activate Windows Vista easy and simple. Slmgr (Software Licensing Manager) is the main component in Windows Vista that handles activation.

Windows Vista Brute Force Keygen usage instruction:

  1. Download Windows Vista Brute Force Keygen version 2.0 (vista_keygen_2.0.zip) (contains slmgr.vbs, slmgr (original).vbs and keyfinder.exe) (Old version: Brute_Force_Keygen.zip).
  2. Backup the file of C:\Windows\System32\slmgr.vbs to another name or another folder location.
  3. If you can’t delete or replace the original slmgr.vbs due to permission issue, open Explorer, navigate to C:\Windows\System32\ folder, right click on slmgr.vbs, then select “Properties”, go to the “Security” tab, click on the “Ownership”, and then click “Take Ownership”. Answer Yes to the prompt message. Next, give the Everyone group Full Control permissions by click on Add in “Security” tab, and then browse to and add the Everyone group. Give Everyone group Full Control permission and then click on OK.
  4. Extract the keygen-enabled slmgr.vbs from the zip archive to C:\Windows\System32\ folder. Replace and overwrite the original slmgr.vbs.
  5. Run Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder.exe from the unzipped archive, and note down the currenct complete or partial product key. You can also use other utilities that allow you to view Windows Vista product key.
  6. Click on Start button, and then “Run”.
  7. Type “cmd” and hit “OK” button to launch Command Prompt. You may need to open elevated command prompt or turn of UAC.
  8. In the command prompt, type:

    C:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ipk generate

A process called “wscript.exe” will start to generate Windows Vista by brute force guessing one key by one key. It will check aproximately 10000 keys per 30 minutes depending on your computer’s CPU power. So the whole process may take a lot of CPU resources and lengthy time.

    Vista Brute Force Keygen

  9. Wait for a a while – from a few hours to may be days for the keygen to do its work.
  10. Once the keygen finds a legit and usable Vista key, it will change the product key of Windows Vista automatically. So after some time, check the Vista system product key with Magic Jellybean keyfinder.exe again to see if the product key or serial CD key has been changed from the original key noted above.
  11. If the product serial key is changed, try to activate Windows Vista with the following command in Windows Vista:

    C:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ato

  12. If activation fails or unsuccessful, try to generate another new key.
  13. Once the keygen works and activation success, replace back with the original slmgr.vbs that has been backup. Or use the slgmr (original).vbs that comes in the zip archive (rename it to slmgr.vbs).

The Vista Brute Force KeyGen should works on every edition of Windows Vista, including Windows Vista Ultimate, Home Premium, Business and Home Basic, regardless of 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64).

The beauty of this brute force keygen for Windows Vista is that the crack is a simply a random guesser, try each possible product key one by one, and thus over the long run, people will start activating legit keys that are owned by other people, including those boxed retail version of Windows Vista product keys that are on the store shelves, causing those who buy and purchase valid Windows Vista license to have problem activating Windows Vista with their genuine but already used product key. According to the Inquirer, “this is ugly for MS, and if it allows you to take back your legit keys, how long do you think it will take before people catch on to the fact that you can call in and hijack already purchased keys once you generate one that someone else activated?”

If you looking to bypass Windows Vista activation, try TimerLock with applies TimerLock v2a.

DISCLAIMER by Computer User: Under no circumstances should anyone sell the key that they generate. I do not support Piracy, this was simply an experiment in which i used to practice my VBscripting. This was just for fun and was a complete accident! Sorry for cracking your beautiful operating system Bill Gates!

If it steals real keys from real future sheep then great. They need waking up to Microsoft’s creeping stranglehold on liberty. Microsoft need stopping.

    Enjoy your hollow victories…
Soon, an uninvited Validation Tool adhered to a popular Windows download will provide catch-up defensive/offensive patch to brute force/turnaround keygens, extensions, scripts, algorithms, compromised MAKS, etc. It will be released before SP1. Careful. End result is a forced shutdown. On startup/load files – failure. No workaround. Clean install only solution. Attempted activation, disk assisted repair/re-install, command-line, etc wont work. Safe mode will be disabled. BSOD/Windows Critical Error will appear at any attempt to repair/reinstall. Windows error number will be available and info on Technet will confirm WPA violation. Attachment of HDD to other workable system and data will have been encrypted by Validation Tool. A single undeletable file will mention Validation failure and corresponding Knowledge Base article.

I currently have the Time Stopper hack running and working just fine…however, I want to give this one a shot? Can I use the instructions above even though the time stopper is running?

Vista is able to check the product key without connection with the internet. So, there is a sort of algoritm. When we find this one we can talk further.

grag’s calculations are pointless if the “keygen” tries random guesses.

    Some calculations just for fun:

the prod key consists of 25 characters, and according to the script there are 25 different characters to choose from (alfanumerics minus some, I don’t know why). so there are 25^25 = 8.88*10^34 different potential keys.

I don’t know how many Vista licence keys there are, but let’s just say MS made two keys for every human on earth, for every version of vista. So there would be 12*10^9 keys for the version the script is trying to crack.

This means that about every quadrillionth (7.40^-24) key is valid. Comparing this with the supposed 10000 keys/30min, we still get an average wait of a few trillion years per valid key.

Long story short, bruteforcing product keys is a waste of time, the software developers aren’t that stupid :)

Thanks, I just add. Should I stop the KeyGen or restart? Because I add the “msgbox strProductKey” on line 983 and nothing happened.

If you want to see the keys every time the script tries them, add the following on line 983 in the modded slmgr.vbs:

    msgbox strProductKey

(you can see the line number in notepad by enabling the status bar from the view menu)

This will show a new popupbox for every key it tries, so it isn’t useful for anything but checking how fast, or slow, the bruteforce process is.

I think MS has made the checking of the valid key very slow on purpose, only to prevent these kind of bruteforcing. But with enough time, you can bruteforce anything.

Anyone confirm if this works with Vista Enterprise? I tried it and it ends after 3secs saying it found a key, but the key is invalid if i enter it manually.

Also, I’m not sure how MS would be able to ask for proof of purchase. The inconvenience for their legit users would probably skyrcoket. Imagine *everyone* having to actually phone them for each activation and reactivation. I think MS would simply not have the resources.

Yes, it’s been reported to work on other sites.

In response to above, it also takes a while because it’s checking for valid keys. It’s only guessing and trying, and every once in a while it may stumble upon a valid one. That’s really what brute force attacks are all about. There’s no way for the generator to know in advance which keys works or not, as that information is stored on Microsoft’s activation servers.

    How was 5.5 keys/sec (10000keys/30min) achived?
For me it takes about 2 min to generate 10 keys => 0.083keys/s , tested it by editing the slmgr.vbs to stop efter ten keys. Yes, the machine was slow (athlon 2400, 1gig ram) but the diffrence shuoldn’t be 100-fold.

It seems as if the generating doesn’t take much time, but the authentication of the key does, as taskmanager says Microsoft Software Licencig Service (SLsvc.exe) is using up most of the CPU time.

What kind of experiences have the rest of you got with the script?
