Enable Windows DreamScene Audio and Sound
By default Windows DreamScene will have audio and sound output turned off and disabled as mute. So even if you set a exciting video clip with surround sound and intriguing audio as motion desktop DreamScene background, there will be no sound play. However, users can always turn on or unmute the DreamScene audio output to hear the sound of the videos.
To enable or unmute the DreamScene, in the notification area (system tray) of Windows Vista desktop, click on the audio icon (speaker) to open the Volume Mixer. Then in the Windows DreamScene section under the Applications. Click on the mute button (crossed speaker)
below the volume slide bar (which is grayed out and disabled) to get audio up and running. Increase the volume on slide bar if needed.

regsvr32 “%windir%\system32\DreamScene.dll” does not work!
unable to register this dll

Actually, make that line:
regsvr32 “%windir%\system32\DreamScene.dll”
February 22nd, 2007 16:04
Additionally, “CODE regsvr32″ should be simply “regsvr32″.

^– above, “system32en-US” should be “system32\en-US”. Sorry for the lost slashes.

You will need files from wista Ultimate after installation of DreamScene:
-DreamScene.dll from system32 -DreamScene.dll.mui from system32en-US
-themecpl.dll from system32
-themecpl.dll.mui from system32en-US
-vid1337.mpg from Windows\Web\Windows DreamScene (Not requried, but you can also take it as test file)
Then on non-Ultimate Vista:
1. Copy DreamScene.dll to system32
2. Copy DreamScene.dll.mui to system32en-US
3. Replace orginal themecpl.dll in system32 with this from Ultimate Edition
4. Replace orginal themecpl.dll.mui in system32en-US with this from Ultimate Edition
5. Make new folder in Windows\Web and rename it to Windows DreamScene, You can copy video files for DreamScene to this folder
6. Copy vid1337.mpg to this new folder (Windows\Web\Windows DreamScene)
7. Run CMD as Administrator and type:
CODE regsvr32 “%system32%DreamScene.dll”
8. Reboot your OS
