SLA 2.0 Supported BIOSes for Instant Windows Vista OEM Activation

If you have read the previous articles that instruct you how to modify your BIOS to add in the required SLIC table in ACPI module in order to achieve OEM instant activation for Windows Vista without the need to activate online against Microsoft’s server, you should know that the alteration process is tedious, dangerous and not for novice. However, some good Samaritan hackers have modified the BIOS for many motherboards (mobos) from different motherboards brands and manufacturers to support SLP 2.0, and then release the BIOSes online for public free download. Here’s some of the collection of the modified BIOSes.

Warning: Alteration to BIOS may invalidate warranty, cause computer to unable to boot up or other irrecoverable effect. Do it at your own risk.

There’s plenty of ways to mod a BIOS to support OEM. All OEM BIOS below is modified to include SLIC table and Windows Marker that match Asus OEM ID and OEM Table ID unless specified otherwise.

    so far so good. BIOS has oem added, checked with everest, and system rebooted without problems.
    Will let you know tomorrow about Vista install.

    Can anyone tell me if you should it like this
    Run slmgr.vbs -ilc C:\Asuscert.xrm-ms

    or like this

    Run slmgr.vbs -ilc C:\oemcert.xrm-ms

    file in folder oemcert and the instructions
    say you should use Asuscert
    any help would be appreciated

    On Original.bin I’d only replaced SLIC for empty spaces (00 00 00 00). Nothing else, download de file and check it again, maybe you changed without notice.

    I can’t give you a techinical info, because I’m no programer, just doing trial and error ( 2 Hotflashes ), first I change SLICu by SLICv, no go, and then by cleaning that SLIC.

    Some Luck,Hard work, and without giving up :)

    I see the change in the SLICu. and a change at the end of the original.bin where there is a N replaced by a T just before the name of the mb.

    In my contry Portugal He call a bright man Inteligente i think you deserve to change your nick to Inteligente.

    No, i haven’t that motherboard but I know how editing AMI and Award bios. I only hope these bioses properly work. Anyway I never changed boot-block routines so if something doesn’t seem to work properly simply reflash original bios.

    Anyone have problems installing optional updates? Language packs code 1 and ultimate extras dont show up. Dreamscene says it does not apply to your system. Running ultimate with slic patch.
