   Zip file has 2 modded dirs (I modded this bios in 2 different ways). Both of them should work, anyway try and report if it works (or they work).

   On the ASUS Boards What Excatly is the Proccess if the CMOS Settings Can’t Be Saved
   is it Flash From Windows for the Modded BIOS and then the Original or Flash Using ALT + F2 for modded the Reflash original from in Windows. Any Help Appreciated

   ASUS P5B-E has CMOS Error
   ASUS P4V800D-X Takes the Modded Bios with No Complaints and Works great but will not Activate

   anyone get a moded bios going on an asus p5b series yet?

   what does this mean exactly?

   #6 For some of the motherboard, especially ASUS, if you face the problem that the CMOS configuration cannot be saved after flashed the mod BIOS, re-flash the original BIOS from manufacturer from within Windows system.

   #7 It’s reported that some BIOS, depending on method used to mod it, may not work on system with different physical memory RAM size.

   Got a non-deluxe p5b (vanilla) with 2gb of ram.

   what do i do? load the modified bios, get the crc error, go into windows and then reload the original/non-modified flash? this will fix the cmos error and perserve the asus oem sl table?

   thanks for any help!!!

    Post: 1275 is the only bios that worked for me to activate vista on the Asus Striker Extreme Motherboard. (ver 1002)

    so if someone modifies 1004 do it like it is done in that one!

    Thanks, both files activated my Vista succesfully on my EVGA 680i. But the wrong display of the cpu-clock still remains with both files.

    Gee, never thought I would I get to the RAM-dependant SLIC-problem.

    I upgraded from 2 to 4 gigs of ram, and now the SLIC is gone. Could somebody who is into this modding could fit me a bios for the Gigabyte 965P DQ5 rev.1?

    what do i do in asus afudos bios flasher to clear the cmos of my p5b to avoid a crc error so that I can get a SLC 2.0 mod bios going? whats the command? @nik076? anyone?

    Unfortunately the flash for my A8V did not work. I had to perform an AMI recovery.

    Do you have any other suggestions? Is there another method in which it could be modded?
