   i used this guide:

   @ step8:
   You see a slightly shorter string such as “RSDT FACP DSDT APIC MCFG FACS”. In this case, the choice of table replacement is lesser. First choice of table to be replaced in MCFG, which shouldn’t cause any problem to your system. If MCFG is not available, you can try to replace APIC with SLIC, but you may need to reinstall the operating system.
   there was no MCFG, so i replaced APIC with SLIC

   instead of using Asus OEM acpislic.bin.(step19) (http://depositfiles.com/files/628534),
   i extracted “SLIC.bin” from the VSTADLR.img (from softmod-l.iso DATA Folder)
   replaced the 2 “_ASUS_Notebook” values with “MEDIONMEDIONAG
   http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/03/03/windows-vista-no-activation-oem-id-for-various-manufacturers/

   and finally finished the guide and saved the modified BIOS(MEDION.RAR)

   I have flash my ASUS A8N-E with the modified bios download from here and got it success to auto activate Vista Home Premium. It’s ASUS version.

    Did this one myself, typing this from a successful install

    K8N Neo4 Platinum (MS-7125) based on RyanVM and Rebels Haven Mod of the 7125RH1D BIOS.

    Extras Include:

    1. NVPXE ROM to v 215.0503
    2. NVRAID BIOS to v 5.50
    3. Si3114R5 RAID BIOS to v 5.3.14
    4. HT Frequency: Add 1x, 1.5x, 2x
    5. Max Memlock: Add 66, 150, and 183
    6. Cas: Add 1.5T
    7. Tras: Add 1T, 2T, 3T, 4T
    8. Trcd: Add 1T
    9. Trp: Add 1T
    10. Twr: Fixed 2T and 3T being reversed.
    11. Twtr: Hid “2T” because it freezes the system. Select “Auto” for 2T.
    12. Many hidden options made visable.
    13. Spread Spectrum set to “Disable” as default.

    As mentioned many times before…flash at own risk

    @’Niko76′ Hi there, Have you had any response from ‘Unky Herb’ about the ‘ASUS A8V-Deluxe’ bios you modded for him (post 876)? Was he successful or not?

    Has anyone else flashed with this bios and what were the results??? Feedback much appreciated.

    I mod a Soyo SY-P4VTP and now no windows will installed.

    this is what i did:
    i had windows xp pro installed

    start modbin6, select soyo.bin, did not exit.
    edit original.bin with winhex, search RSDT, found: RSDTFACPDSDTAPICFACS @ DB80, i change APIC to SLIC then save, exit winhex, in modbin6 select file save name it backup.bin, then exit modbin6.

    startup cmd, then CBrom219 backup.bin /acpitbl extract, then accept the default file name.

    open acpitbl.bin with winhex then replace:
    RSDT……VIAP4XAWRDACPI1.0BAWRD to
    RSDT4….._ASUS_Notebook1.0BAWRD then save and exit.

    back to cmd prompt, typed
    cbrom219 backup.bin /acpitbl acpitbl.bin
    it says 36.x% then done.

    I then copy backup.bin to a win98 bootable floppy disk, with soyo dos award flasher (af823G).

    boot with the floppy, and try to update the flash, it did not work, it says the BIOS was not awardbios.

    any i start windows, and run the winflash and selected update bios and selected the backup.bin on the floppy, it when ok, reboot with vista dvd in drive, while it was extrating files, it just reboot.

    Can some till be how to FOURCE flash this BIOS?
